Detailed explanation

Corydoras are catfish with over 170 species. The most common are C. aeneus, C. paleatus, C. panda, C. sterbai, C. pygmaeus.

They are gregarious and MUST be kept in groups of at least 6 of the same species. The ideal substrate is fine sand or gravel with rounded grains.

The diet is omnivorous: pellets for bottom fish, frozen food, live food. Don't just rely on leftovers from other fish.

C. sterbai is the most resistant species to high temperatures (up to 30 degrees), ideal as a companion for Discus.

Corydoras also breathe atmospheric air: they rise to the surface to take a mouthful. It's normal behaviour.
