hospital aquarium

A separate aquarium dedicated to the treatment of sick fish. Allows you to use medications without contaminating the main aquarium.

Detailed explanation

The minimum setup: a 20-40 litres container, heater, mature sponge filter, lid. No substrate or expensive decorations.

Medicines to keep in stock: salt, malachite green (ichthium), kanamycin (bacteria), praziquantel (internal parasites).

After treatment, the aquarium must be sterilized with diluted bleach. It is also used for the quarantine of new purchases.
