Aquarium test kit

Instruments for measuring water parameters: ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, KH, GH, calcium, phosphates. There are drops, stripes and digital.

Detailed explanation

Drop tests (API, Salifert, JBL) are the most precise and widespread. Digital tests (Hanna Checker) offer maximum precision with numerical reading.

Test strips are fast but less accurate. In freshwater aquariums test: ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, GH, KH. In marine aquariums add: calcium, magnesium, phosphates, salinity.

The frequency depends on the maturity of the aquarium. Expired reagents give false results: replace them every 12-18 months.
