Bucephalandra are endemic plants of Borneo with leaves with blue, purple, red and silver reflections.

Like Anubias, they grow from a rhizome that should not be buried. They grow more slowly than Anubias. They flower frequently.

The price can be high for rare varieties. They suffer from melt during acclimatization like Cryptocoryne.

The combination Anubias + Bucephalandra + mosses creates spectacular compositions with very low maintenance.
