The Banggai Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni) and the Pajama Cardinal (Sphaeramia nematoptera) are the most widespread.

They are among the easiest marine fish to breed in captivity. The male incubates the eggs in his mouth for about 20 days without eating.

Perfectly reef safe, peaceful, suitable for nano reefs. The Banggai Cardinal is at risk in the wild: prefer captive bred specimens.
