Reef integration programs

Complete dosing systems that provide calcium, KH, magnesium and trace elements in a balanced way. Each brand has its own philosophy and products.

Detailed explanation

In the modern reef the dosage of the elements consumed by the corals is fundamental. There are several comprehensive trading systems that make management easier.

Classic Balling includes three DIY solutions: calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and magnesium chloride, mixed with trace elements. It is the cheapest method but requires preparing the solutions and calibrating the dosages.

Red Sea Foundation offers A, B and C (calcium, KH, magnesium) as an integrated system. Dosages are calculated by testing daily consumption. Red Sea also offers Reef Colours (ABCD) for trace elements.

Triton Core7 is a 4-solution system that provides all elements based on ICP analysis. Does not require water changes (in the Triton protocol).

Fauna Marin Balling Light is a simplified version of balling with ready-made solutions and calculated dosages. Fauna Marin Complete adds the trace element system.

ATI Essentials is a 3-solution system (similar to balling but balanced differently) designed to work with ATI ICP analyses.

Aquaforest Components 1+2+3 provides calcium, KH and magnesium with integrated trace elements.

The choice of system depends on personal preferences, budget and willingness to do ICP analysis. All work when used correctly with regular dosing and parameter monitoring.

Do not mix products from different systems without understanding the composition. Some contain the same trace elements in different concentrations and overdose is a real risk.

Consistency in dosing is more important than the system chosen. A simple system used with discipline is better than a sophisticated system used in fits and starts.

Coralia Lab monitors this parameter with AI diagnostics. Tank Score alerts you when a value moves outside the recommended range for your aquarium.
